I have exercised the demons

Obviously this title came from a ridiculous, yet hilarious, movie.  And if you guess it you totally rock in my book!

But back on the subject of exercising since that is what Gretchen chose for the spin cycle this week.  Exercising.  Yuck!  But actually…I kind of like it.  Actually I love to exercise.  What I don’t love is finding the time to do it.  I feel AH-freaking-MAZING after I get in a hardcore workout.  Whether it be running on my C25K, walking with my mom or busting out a spin class at the rec center.  Which I desperately miss but definitely don’t have time (or money!) for that.  But exercising makes me feel good.  Makes me feel good in my bones.  But lately I just do not have the motivation to make myself do it.  And I keep saying on my weekly weigh-in posts that I need to do it.  And even though I am putting it out there week after week I just don’t do it.  So this is my question for you all…how do you make yourself get up and go?  Do you do early mornings?  Late night workouts?  I find that mornings are good for me but I’m a sissy and won’t run by myself in the dark outside.  Should I just do my indoor videos in the mornings and then give myself a few evenings to go for a run?  Give me your thoughts!  Because I need to get my exercise on!  And go see what all the other awesome people who are sticking to their plans! I've been going for a run in the early mornings, recently in the dark. It's the easiest time to go--everyone else in the house is asleep and I can go without feeling guilty. As the weather gets colder and snowy and icy, I get to turn to DVDs and dance games for the Wii.
Now that I've started, I don't want to let myself go again. Getting started all over again would be even harder.

I've been really good about running in the morning after dropping Jude off at school. Which isn't really that early - 8. I honestly don't think I'd have it in me to get up at 6 and run before work. Actually, the end of the day might be a nice time.

I agree. It is hard to find time to exercise sometimes. But it makes me feel so much better, so I am trying to make the time. We'll see how that goes.

Ace Ventura!
I am the same way about running in the dark. How do I know a serial killer isn't out there also getting his run on???

I love exercising with you! :) It was so fun walking Friday night. I felt like I could have gone on forever! :) So obviously the answer is you need to exercise with your auntie more often! LOL! :)

I used to get up early, but I'm really going to have to start running after I drop my daughters off at school. I'm too tired to get up at 5:00!

Wait, did I say running in the above comment? I meant walking. I wish I was more of a runner!
