Who would have thought that hearing I wuv wu would be one of the best things in the world. Of course I wuv wu being I love you to my monster but hey, it counts! I think just hearing someone so small and not really making coherent phrases all that often make you think you may just be doing something right. As many times as he says dammit he says I love you. I'm ok with that! :)
After seeing this weeks spin idea over at Sprites Keeper I knew that I was not going to talk about the first time I uttered the words I love you to the opposite sex. No, this would be about a love shared between a mother and son. A love so deep that no matter how many times I have screamed at him or him at me we still can curl up in each others arms and snuggle and know that tomorrow will bring the same sheer joy and hell that is the world of raising a rambunctious, rebellious, loving, touchy-feely toddler. I know a lot of people that are raising toddler boys and I know that not all of them are able to get out the words that tell their mothers how much they mean to them. I also know that there are a lot of women out there that would love to have a hellion of a child just so they could feel the warmth of their sweaty little bodies and hear them be able to say I wuv wu. So, as much as I complain I do not take one single I wuv wu for granted from my little monster.

Love this. I remember the first time Sprite said those words to me and my heart melted. Now it's hard to get it out of her without a prompt, but she's still pretty free with the kisses. You're linked!
It's just the best coming out of that squeaky little toddler voice isn't it?
