RTT: Super Bowl ads, Teeny bopper pop and bad movies

We're almost to the half-way point of the week. That means it's Tuesday. Time for some Random with Keely. Go over and check out all the random spewing out of the blogosphere.

Since Sunday was the Super Bowl I figured I would put my 2 cents in about the commercials. I honestly didn't pay close attention during the game because I was trying to corral Leo but I got off work early on Monday so I checked them out on the web. My favorites were:
  • VW Darth Vader. It was just cute. And I can see Leo being the little boy trying to get the force to work for him.
  • The Audi Release the Hounds commercial. I thought all the rich people in jail and the 2 dudes trying to escape.
  • Chevy: Lassie truck. It was funny. And the part at the end where the guy was like I didn't even know there was a volcano in this town.
  • And finally the Pepsi Max can thrower. Just hilarious.
If you want to watch all the ads like I did you can go here.

Have you guys heard the new Avril Lavigne song? While I dig this song A LOT I was thinking the other day at what age do you get too old to like teeny-bopper pop music? Also...what's up with Avril? I love her, don't get me wrong but she is 26 and still sings this type of music. I remember when she first came out and she was all hard-core wannabe punk. And now look at her. Still singing pop music. If you like her check out her new video for What the Hell

The hubby and I are going out for Valentines Day next Saturday. My parents have been so nice and are going to babysit Leo so we don't have to get someone to watch him. So we are going to go to a nice restaurant where I am going to dress up. I'm pretty excited. My mom also gave me 2 tickets to go to a local theater. But I was looking to see what movies are out and coming out and I'm just not seeing too much out there. I guess there are probably more out there that I want to see (I'm talking to you Black Swan and The King's Speech) but my hubby won't. And there are a few out there that we would probably like to see but oh my goodness I've seen previews for some movies that look TERRIBLE. Some of those include: Drive Angry 3D, Hall Pass, Just Go With It and Gnomeo and Juliet. Hopefully something amazing comes out on Friday so we will have something to go see!

I put this on twitter the other day but does anyone remember the show Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip? We have been streaming it on Netflix and I forgot how awesome it was. In 1 episode I was laughing out loud and crying. IN 40 minutes. Ahhhh the hormones of a woman! But seriously the show is awesome. I hate how the hubby and I have started watching numerous shows and so many of them have been canceled. It's such a bummer. You hate to get invested in a show just to have it end on a cliff-hanger.

We went to Great Clips the other day to get Leo's hair cut and it got butchered. She used clippers and buzzed his beautiful baby hair. He's had so many haircuts and they usually use the clippers but then use scissors to cut the top part. Not this time. And I just stared in shock when I saw her do it. When I made mention that it was really short the stylist got defensive and was like, well that's why I said blah blah blah. And I thought, yeah, like I have any idea what you just said. Again. I was nice and said that it would grow out and that just next time I'll make sure to tell them to use the scissors on the top. No harm no foul I guess. It will grow out!

Ok. That's all I have for today. Nothing terribly exciting happening. But go check out Keely. She'll show you exciting!

God, there really are no good movies coming out soon, are there?

Happy Tuesday!

Those are my favorite Super Bowl commercials, too.

Hubby and I loved Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip - the ones we tend to like (that we actually watch together) always seem to be the ones that get canceled. Argh.

I LOVED Studio 60! I thought it ended with Amanda Peet giving birth and confirming her love for the guy whose name I can't remember. And Matthew Perry. Enough said. I will be investing some interest in his new show Mr. Sunshine so I'm hoping for a good one.

I don't think you are ever to old to listen to teeny bopper music. I can tell you that when that Miley Cyrus song Party in the USA came out I was up singing along. And everytime it came on I would be like that's my song. I probably looked super crazy but hey I look like I am 16 so nobody knows any better.

I loved Studio 60, the writing was fantastic on that show. And Avril? Ya, time to grow up a bit.
