RTT: Musings from the weekend

It's April 24th.  We are almost 1/3 of the way done with the year!!  Can you believe that?  I can't.  Time goes by so quickly even when I am wanting it to slow down so I can bask in the moment of now.  But since it's not let's get down to some random with Stacy.

Stacy

Who buys the items (mainly clothes) from the ads in the Sunday paper?  I really want to know?  The horrible pants and shoes that are always there lead me to wonder who is buying it.  And you know they are because if they weren't there wouldn't continue to be ads selling it.

We are signing Leo up for T-ball.  This will be his first team sport we are trying.  We've done swimming lessons and gymnastics but this will be his first sport where he will have to work with others to try to win.  I'm actually not sure if there are winners in T-ball where we go but I hope there are. Because I do not like the leagues where everyone wins.  I don't think that really teaches anyone anything.  Because life has winners and losers.  But that's just me.

We got Leo enrolled in kindergarten about a month ago.  It's at the Catholic school here in town.  There is a dress code (uniforms, etc.) but Leo needs new shoes.  And since the dress code includes certain types of shoes (no loud colors, no lights, no wheels) I figured why buy a pair now that he won't be able to wear then.  So when I took him to look at shoes he threw a hissy fit when I told him that.  And the ones that were really cute that I figured he would like he was against them.  And I think it's only because he wanted something else.  So we left with no new shoes.  We'll try again at one other place but if he doesn't find any that works I'm just going back to Wal-Mart to get the ones I liked!

This Friday I am going to Final Friday with some girlfriends and I'm really looking forward to it.  It's an art crawl where a lot of shops in the downtown area have art from local artists.  It's really cool and I haven't gone to one in 2 years.  So of course it's supposed to rain.  But here's hoping the weatherman is wrong or it at least holds out until the end of the night!

Baseball season has officially started and the Royals...suck.  They've lost 10 in a row and haven't won a single game at home this season.  If they keep it up it will make for a looong season.  Hopefully when we go in a few weeks they can at least pull off 1 win!  We're going for 2 games but I'll settle for 1 win!

Ok, that's enough today.  Hope everyone has an awesome Tuesday!

RTT: Drinks at 9a, Gorgeous Weather and March Madness

Stacy is still leading our tribe on our quest for random.  So make sure you hit her up.  But before you do here is what is going on over here...

Do you ever have those mornings where you are ready for a drink at 9?  In the morning?  I had that morning on Monday.  I snoozed too long and pushed my luck.  I had everyone ready to get out the door on time but then the unexpected (but not really) happened.  Jacoby threw up all over the floor.  Thankfully we have wood floors so it's an easy clean but of course he hit his pants too.  So off to change the pants.  Whilst changing was happening my hand brushed the back of his onesie.  It hit wetness.  Which turned out to be poop.  All up his back. Awesome!  So a complete outfit change was in store.  Then by the time we got to daycare one of his socks had been lost.  And holy crap it was only 9.  Instead of going to work I was ready to hit the liq!

Leo has hit the whiny but also bossy/back-talking stage.  I'm over it.

I have seen a lot of my family lately and I have enjoyed it immensely.  Now if only I could talk my aunt who has kids around Leo's age to move here I would be set!

The weather this week is supposed to be upper 70s.  Hallelujah!  We never really had a horrible winter (snow only once) but I love 70s.  I will take that all year round.  In this case I would definitely be suited for southern California.  Ok...in a lot of ways I would be suited for southern California but don't tell my husband.  He would be job searching immediately!

Yeah, I'm obsessed with Draw Something.  But I suck at drawing.  So if we're playing together...I'm sorry!

March Madness starts Thursday!  And like usual I'm off starting Thursday!  I love this time of year.  For the past few years I've taken the first weekend off so I can watch non-stop basketball.  This year the hubby is joining me.  I really don't have any plans other than the first day when I have an eye appointment and a doctor's appointment scheduled in the morning.  But the boys are going to school on Thursday and Friday and I'm sure I'll clean and cook but no other plans.  SO excited!  Also, the Jayhawks seem to have gotten a really good draw for their bracket so I'm hoping they do well!  Rock Chalk!

And that's all she wrote!  Happy Tuesday!

RTT: Lots-o-rando

Hey-O!  Another Tuesday so let's get random!

I watched GCB last night (taped from Sunday) and it was pretty hilarious.  I watched Football Wives Dallas and GCB depicted the ladies a lot like the wives of the Dallas Cowboys.  I wouldn't have even believed people are like that in real life but after seeing it I believe it!

I made appetizers for dinner tonight.  Delicious.  We had a spread of cheese dip, mixed veggies and dip, buffalo wings and little smokies.  Not anything healthy but we all loved it!

We started a new health initiative at work on Sunday.  The point is to eat 3 servings of green fruits an veggies 5 days a week and get 1 hour of exercise 5 days a week.  I have the exercise done 2 days already this week and the veggies done once.  And today at the store I bought some good stuff to help me get my 3 servings every day.  Also, please disregard what I wrote about what we had for dinner because I'm pretty sure it voided all the exercise I've done the past two days.  A thing that's nice about this challenge is the fact that we have partners.  So if I don't do it I'm not just letting myeslf down I'm letting my partner down.  So I have accountability.  So we'll see how I do.

It's Girl Scout cookie time.  Unfortunately I gave up sweets for Lent so the cookies I've bought have gone in the freezer.  And speaking of Lent, I have been on Pinterest and looking through cookbooks and have seen so many desserts.  And then I read a blogpost about stress eating and desserts.  Check it out.  And this is really strange but I feel like I'm being tempted big time.  And so diggint out my old Catholic teachings it really is like the devil is vying for me and is trying to tempt me into eating sweets.  Well so far so good.  And now I am getting off my church box!

We finally got a crib for Jacoby!  He has been sleeping in the pack and play because our crib that we had for Leo was recalled due to the drop-rail side.  So I finally just broke down and got one.  And I got the model I wanted but they didn't have the color I wanted.  I was so bummed.  But for the price it was I wasn't going to wait.

We decided to send Leo to the Catholic school here in town.  It's the church we (Leo and I) go to and the hubby went to a Catholic school when he was a kid and really liked it so we decided on that.  That's also where Leo did his shadow day so I'm kind of hoping he gets that teacher because he seemed to like her and keeps talking about her.  It would just be nice for him to see a familiar face when he starts in the fall.

I emailed my partner from the V-day swap I talked about here to see if she at least received my package I sent (that's what he said! ).  And I didn't hear anything back.  I also never received anything.  I saw on the host's twitter page a picture of something she got in the exchange so I know that things have been sent out.  Soooo that will probably be the last swap I do for a while.  Such a bummer!

And that's the random for the day.  Make sure to visit Stacy and keep the rebel randoming alive!

RTT: I'm too tired for a title...

Hi hi! It's Tuesday. The 4th Tuesday of my maternity leave. That means only 6 more weeks until I have to go back to work. Bummer! But that means 6 weeks left with my sweet boys so I need to make the most of them! Blogging has definitely been put on the back burner and so I figured I'd try to get back in the swing of things by doing a random Tuesday. Because that's easy enough right?!
____________

Being a "stay at home mom" for these past few weeks have learned me something. And that something is that I was not meant to be a stay at home mom. I learned this when I was on maternity leave with Leo too. I love my boys and I love spending time with them but seriously...I need some conversation in my life. And when it's just Jacoby and me on the days that Leo goes to school I don't talk to anyone until the hubby gets home. And that is hard for my mind. Maybe if I was a for real stay at home mom I would have other moms to chat with but that wouldn't be every day. I need to be able to make jokes and talk to other adults. It has also sucked all the creativity from me. I had all these grand plans for the days that Leo stayed home but I'm just not feeling it. I did play Legos and color with him last week but today with him here I just have no energy. I'm sure that's because I was up 3 times during the night but still. I feel like I should be doing something. And the blogging? Yeah, non-existent. Even though most of my blogs tend to be about the kiddos I think when I think about them all day I don't find the things they do or say quite as funny as I do when I am not surrounded by them.
__________

On the upside I have been cooking almost every day since the hubby went back to work last week. The first few weeks we survived on meals people brought us and fast food but now that we got back in the swing of things I have been making dinner every night. And I have a meal plan for the next 2 weeks and my groceries are bought and we have stayed on track so far! Such a save on money!
________

I did bake a pumpkin pie a few weeks ago and the crust broke while in the oven and the pie leaked over the edge. I had no idea how to clean a non-self-cleaning oven and so I let it sit there while I continued to cook things. Well the other night the hubby was "cooking" a frozen pizza and I saw smoke coming from the oven. I said something because he was standing right there and he opened the oven door and the flipping oven was on fire. We had no idea what to do and of course we don't have a fire extinguisher. Quite the excitement at 10 at night! Thankfully it was not a big fire and it went out on it's own. Needless to say I bought some oven cleaner (which they sale at Wal-Mart! :) and went to town cleaning my oven. I had to do it twice because that pie filling was caked on pretty good. But now the oven is as good as new!
__________

And speaking of my oven and cooking meals...it is clean and ready to be used just in time for my hubby's birthday! It is tomorrow and I have a big ol' meal planned for it! I am making a turkey and all the Thanksgiving works for him because he loves that stuff! So we will be having turkey, stuffing, rolls, mashed potatoes, corn and pumpkin pie! Yum! He is not a fan of the birthdays and it makes him think about his mortality every year but I figured something nice would maybe make it a little better!
____________

Did you guys realize it's November? Holy cow. That means that Christmas is just under 2 months away! Yikes! I haven't even started Christmas shopping unless you count the cashews I bought my dad from my friend's daughter who is in Girl Scouts! The hubby and I don't exchange presents for Christmas but this year we have talked about needing a new computer and how a laptop is really what we want so I think we're going to get one. Granted, it's not really for Christmas because I'm pretty sure we're going to get it this week but still. I'm saying it's for Christmas because it's close enough! I'm kind of excited. I've never had a laptop before. Hopefully it works better than the computer we have now!

Ok. That's all I have right now. I'm hoping to start blogging at least once a week but I think I said that 2 weeks ago and you see how that's turned out. But Stacy is the heir to the queen of Random and she rocks so go visit her and the others who are randoming out today!

RTT: Baby Edition

Hi! Did you miss me?! I've been a little preoccupied with an early arrival of our little guy. His name...is Jacoby Layne Fernandez. And he might be tied for the cutest baby I've ever seen!

This is him on day 2. So don't mind the scratches all over his face!

So to honor the birth of this little fella this week's RTT is going to be all baby-related. How exciting huh?! And it's going to be bulleted because I'm exhausted and don't have a lot of time to just sit at the computer. It's the darndest thing!

  • So...his name. Jacoby (pronounced: Juh-Kobe) That's my best phonetic way of putting it because I don't know the proper way to do it. And no Jake. I'm not into nicknames but apparently my dad likes to call him that. And every time he does I cringe. So I hope it doesn't catch on. We had about 6 names going into delivery and this one was my favorite. So I don't know if the hubby caved but I think it suits him. Even though we don't really use it right now. Everything is "the baby."
  • I forgot how much baby's sleep. I told Leo that all he is going to do is sleep and eat and boy does he. It seems like that is really all he does. And while it's nice sometimes I want to just sit and hold him but I know that I don't want to start that habit.
  • I am doing things the "right way" this time around. We co-slept with Leo and I swore I would never do it but I did. And then it bit us in the arse because dude wouldn't leave our bed. And even still he would rather sleep in our room. So this time we have the bassinet set up in what is the baby/computer room and he hasn't slept in our room one night. And even though it sucks that I have to get up and get him to feed and what-not I think (hope) that this will help when it comes to having him sleep in a crib and then as he gets bigger in his own bed. On the upside...since the baby has come home Leo has only slept in our room once and that was when we had company and they slept in Leo's room. So score on that!
  • Breastfeeding is nice and sucky all at the same time. I really like that I can actually feed Jacoby this way because with Leo I could not. I think part of the reason was because Leo was in NICU and so they supplemented by bottle feeding him formula so he could get enough to eat while in there and so I think it threw him off. With Jacoby he has only been breastfed and so it works for him. But it is super-sucky because when those middle of the night feedings come I would so rather be the one that gets to sleep while the hubby went to get him and feed him. I won't lie sometimes I pretend to be asleep when he cries just so the hubby is the one that has to get up and change the diaper and then bring him to me to feed him. I'm not the only one that is able to change a diaper!
  • Tonight I am leaving Jacoby with his dad while I go to a seminar at the church about how to deal with temper-tantrums and unruly children. Haha. I'm sure that's not what it's called but that's what I'm calling it. Leo is going with me for the hot dog dinner and then he gets to go in a playroom while I stay for the seminar. So I have been pumping a little bit each day and so we will see how that goes. Hopefully I can feed him right before I leave and then he'll sleep the whole time I'm gone. That would be ideal and then I can freeze whatever I've pumped to just stock-pile.
  • I am on maternity leave until I go back on December 27th. I smile every time I say that but I know it's going to go by too quickly. But while I'm on leave I really don't have much planned other than keeping Leo home on Tuesdays and Thursdays to save money on daycare. I bought some workbooks and got a look at their daily school schedule so I can try to do some of the things he does there instead of just sitting in front of the TV all day. Today was the first day he stayed home and so far we've watched Captain America, eaten lunch and now he's in our bedroom with his dad watching Destination Truth. So yeah...so much for that!
Ok. That's all I have the energy for now. Once I get some good pictures I'll get them up. Hopefully I'll have time to blog occasionally but if not don't forget about me!

RTT: Very Random Thoughts

I know it's Tuesday and I know it's for random but this week you get lots of VERY random.

  • We got rid of our digital cable and opted for satellite. We did have to sign a 2 year contract but as far as I can see so far it will be worth it. Especially with my maternity leave coming soon and we got 3 months free of HBO, Starz, Cinemax and Showtime. Pretty excited about that!
  • While getting rid of our cable we also opted to get rid of our phone landline. I'm not sure how I feel about this but we hardly ever use it and both the hubby and I have cell phones that don't really have a lot of connection issues. So hopefully it works out for the best.
  • I was feeling very thankful this evening. I have been meaning to buy some thank you cards for some random things that people have done and I had packed up all my thank you cards while getting ready for the move. So I finally bought some this evening and sat down and wrote them out. So it made me very thankful to see what people have done for me.
  • My sister-in-law's are throwing me a baby shower brunch or BBQ (I'm not sure which) and I feel very awkward. Mainly because it's my second baby and so I'm one of those people that think showers are for baby #1 but am extremely grateful that they want to do something so sweet for me. I also feel like it might be awkward because I don't have a lot of people to invite because I don't have a lot of friends. So if any of you bloggy friends want to head up to good ol' Kansas for a baby shower feel free to shoot me your address and you can come! :)
  • The weather here has finally changed to a decent temperature but now that I am in my 3rd trimester I feel like all I want to do is sleep. And apparently the hubby feels the same way because I am having to pick up the slack where he is leaving off. I love the man dearly but seriously...I'm 32 weeks along...a little help shredding some cheese and cutting some tomatoes would be awesome!
  • On the creepy side of me I took my phone into Leo's daycare and snapped a picture of their schedule. They aren't in their "assigned" room in the morning when it's breakfast time so no one saw me do it. I did it for when I am on maternity leave and keep Leo home a few days a week I can try to keep him on a less-strict schedule than they do but still have some ideas in mind of something to keep him occupied other than the Backyardigans and Dora. So I have the schedule and now all I need to figure out what the heck circle time and centers consist of. Any ideas would be appreciated!
  • I made some extremely delicious chicken tacos last night for dinner. We hadn't had them in a while and so I decided to make them and they turned out awesome. I was very pleased with myself! I also made a list of dinners for the next two weeks and I bought my groceries and spent under $55 for 2 weeks! I will have to make at least 1 trip during the next week to get more milk but between the meat we already had and the stuff in our cupboards we had quite a bit so that was pretty awesome as well. I love it when I can make a list and stick to it!
  • Evenings have been a real struggle lately for Leo. He starts to get sleepy and cranky around 7 and I can tell it's time for bed but if I put him to bed that early he wakes up sooooo early. Plus 7 just seems so early especially when I sometimes don't even get off work until 8. If he was already in bed then I wouldn't get to see him at all. Any suggestions on what to do to help ease the evening angry's let me know!
Ok. Enough random spouting. I'm sorry if you feel dumber for reading this! Haha. SOmetimes I feel that way when I write it! Happy Tuesday!  Go hit up Stacy to see all the other random ramblings out there. And she's also hosting a super-awesome giveaway for her 3rd blogiversary.  You can choose wine or no wine.  So yeah, it's definitely worth it to check it out!

RTT: Weekend Fun and Random Musings

Wha? How did that happen? It's Tuesday? Woo hoo! That means a 4-day work week. OH wait...it doesn't for me since I work some Saturday's and this week is one of them but it's whatever! It does mean it's Tuesday and time for some Random.

With our 3-day weekend (because I was lucky enough to not work this past Saturday) we did a lot of nothing and it was amazing. I'm really enjoying having the house pretty much fixed up and with a lack of stuff in it so the cleaning is quick and painless. Saturday my mom took Leo to the local historic museum called Cowtown and they watched gun fights and participated in a scavenger hunt and did other fun things. Like drink beer (sarsaparilla) in the saloon. He thought that was pretty awesome! So while they were out gallivanting around town the hubby and I just hung out and watched HGTV all day. It was pretty amazing. Sunday was busier only because we attended 2 parties with our families. It was nice to see everyone and spend time with them. Monday was another day where we didn't have anything going on but then we got a message saying that someone wanted to come look at the house so we had to clean up and get out. While the people were snooping around we went to eat, went to Target and then got Leo's hair cut. All in all it was an outstanding weekend!

We didn't really have anything to get at Target but it seems like you can't leave without buying something. So Leo made out like a bandit. He got a coloring book, a box of colored pencils, a Star Wars t-shirt and a Target brand Nerf gun (btw...I didn't even know they made off-brand Nerf guns but he got 3 mini guns that came in 1 pack for $5). All of that I got for under $20. I was pretty amazed. And he was extremely happy!

Our house has been on the market since August 17th. That is 19 days. And since those 19 days have passed we have had 3 showings. That's 1 per week. I think that's pretty good seeing as how the market isn't super-awesome. I'm just hoping that before September 20th our house sells. I'm giving it until then so that way if it takes 1 month to close we are still closing on our house before my due date. Let's hope that the showing on Monday was the one and they put an offer in today!

Even though I sometimes complain about work we do have some pretty cool perks. Such as winning tickets to local events at the arena that our bank has the name rights to. The most recent contest was to win tickets to see Disney on Ice Toy Story 3. And we won! AND we get suite tickets. So this upcoming Saturday we get to go to the arena and watch Toy Story 3. Leo is so excited!

Is anyone else excited about football season? I AM! It starts this Thursday and I can't wait! Woo hoo! Let's go Redskins! :)

Ok. That's enough random from me. I hope you all had a nice Labor Day weekend and your week goes quickly!

RTT: The Bulleted Edition

It's been a few weeks since I've participated in RTT but I figured I had a little free time so I could throw some random up for you. It's going to be bulleted because my head is in a fog from all these crazy allergies!

  • I took Leo to the library yesterday and he really enjoys going. So that's a bonus since it's free. But since he can't read I don't like how they alphabetize their children's books. I think they should organize their books by type. Ie: Power Rangers, construction, princess, etc. This way when I know what Leo wants to read about I can look in one spot.

  • I have been uber-stressed lately. And I'm not sure why. I just feel very out of it all. the. time. I'm sure it has something to do with being 2 months away from baby, a house on the market and the devil spawn living in the form of my 4yo.

  • Ok, maybe not the devil spawn but some days I feel like that. We have had some extreme behavioral issues lately but they only manifest themselves when he is with me and the hubby. So I guess that's a good thing. And it seems like they come more when he's tired and/or needs a nap. And my mom made a good point that there are a lot of changes going on in his life (see my above stressors) and he probably does not have the same mental capabilities to handle them like adults do. So I can't get too mad.

  • We have started a behavior/chore chart again and day 2 he got ALL his stickers. So that is a plus. And he keeps looking at Sunday and says that it wasn't a good day and he needs to work on it. And I just keep reminding him that every day is a new day and that we can only make this one better than the one before. So there's that.

  • Work has been crazy lately as well. I worked 48+ hours last week. And it seems like all the weeks since the beginning of the year I've worked 40+. I'm not complaining...the time and a half is nice. Plus I'm very thankful for a job. I am just completely looking forward to my maternity leave to give me some time away from work!

  • With all our stuff in storage it has been extremely easy to keep the house clean. There is nothing to clutter our house. It's A-freaking-Mazing. And Leo's toys are not taking over the living room so we aren't living a real-life Toy Story movie when we walk in. So nice.

  • I got a massage on Friday and it was awesome. My sweet god-mother gave me a gift certificate to indulge myself and it was so nice. And at one point I thought that if the little massage lady left me in the room by myself in the peace and quiet I wouldn't mind that either. Not that the massage wasn't nice but the fact that just being in the dark, quiet room would be alright with me as well!

Ok that is enough from me. I am not linking up with Stacy (because I may or may not be at work where most blogs may or may not be blocked) but you should because she's awesome for giving me a place to spew my random every Tuesday while Keely is on hiatus. So Happy Tuesday!

RTT: Insomniac edition

Tuesday already? It still feels like Monday to me since I hardly got any sleep last night! Well I guess since I'm up I'll throw down some random and join Stacy in the continuing rebellion!

I hate when you get woke up in the middle of the night and can't get back Linkto sleep. That's what happened to me. Leo woke up around 3 and I could never get back to sleep. Thankfully he's snoozing away now so he won't be a complete bear when I wake him up to get ready for school!

So we are trying to de-clutter the house and get ready for baby time. I figured 1 tote would clean up most of Leo's toys from the living room and his bedroom. Soooo yeah. That didn't work out. I filled up 2 totes and that was just from the living room. So ridiculous. I knew Leo had a lot of toys but had no idea he had this many. Kind of makes me rethink this whole toy thing. And maybe we need to have another garage sale!

Last week I said that the hubby and I had some real conversations about stuff to get the house fixed up. Well we have made some progress! I have 2 people coming to look at 2 different things to get them taken care of. Woot woot! AND...we picked up some paint samples for our bathroom and bedroom. They are both in need of some paint!

It's been over a week and the kitchen and living room have stayed clean. Score one for me!

The weather here is still crazy hot. The sucky thing about it though is that we had some rain on Sunday so the humidity is back. Yuck! I can take the dry heat but the humidity is for the birds!

Ok. That's enough for insomniac RTT! Don't forget to stop by and see Stacy and the other rebels!

RTT: Another rebel random and 111 degree heat

Whew. When I said June was over I didn't mean like I wanted the hottest weather to start and make us wish we were still in June. I really didn't. But apparently that is what happened. So let's get this random over with so that way I can go sit back in front of the fan AND air conditioner!

**If you saw my tweet last night or follow me on Twitter (shameless plug...@kendrasue18) you saw that my clothes dryer stopped working but that I fixed it! I was amazed at my genius. And by genius I opened the door and saw that some clothes had become lodged between the door and lint trap so I had to unlodge it. But lo and behold my dryer started working again and I was extremely happy. Because it meant I don't have to step back into a laundromat!**

**Speaking of laundromats...I went 2 weeks ago to wash our comforter because it won't fit into our washing machine. I had called around to a few dry cleaners and they told me it would cost $25 and I could be without my comforter for up to a week. So I just took it to the coin-operated laundromat and did it myself for $6.75. Well in the mail last week I got a coupon to a dry cleaner for $25 worth of free services. It expires at the end of August so I figured I'll take my comforter there at the very last minute and get it cleaned again. Might as well!**

**As I'm typing this I'm watching the Home Run Derby. These dudes (aka major league baseball players) are ridiculous. I can't believe how they can just hit ball after ball and be homeruns. Some of them are almost 500 feet. That is so ridiculous!**

**I'm looking forward to my day off. It's today (technically tomorrow since I'm typing this on Monday). I don't have a lot planned and did stuff on Monday night so I wouldn't have as much to do on my day off. My plans include going to the gym and going to my parents to lay out by myself for awhile before coming home to finish my chores. I'm pretty sure as much as I do around the house I deserve an allowance!**

**I really want a massage. And a mani/pedi. And I think I deserve one. I think that should be my allowance that I said I deserved! Maybe to compensate for all I do I could get a bi-monthly spa day where I get to get a massage, mani and pedi. That would be amazing. I think someone needs to tell my hubby this to get him to agree!**

**My mom gets to go to Scotland this week for 2 weeks for work. How ridiculous is that?! I wish my work sent me to totally awesome places like Scotland. Instead I get to go to downtown Wichita for meetings. That's pretty awesome right?!**

**Speaking of my work I applied for a new job within my company. It's a management job so I think that it has pros and cons along with it but I've been in my current position for about 3 years and the next step is a manager job soooo I guess it's a good thing for me to try to get. And if I don't get selected for this particular job then at least my name is out there that I am looking to move up. We shall see where it leads!**

**Did you see where I said in my title 111 degree heat? Yeah...I wasn't kidding about that. Our little city hit 111 degrees on Sunday. And they said on the news this morning that we were going to be a little cooler today at 107. I'm not sure about you but I don't think I can tell the difference between 111 and 107! One thing I do know is that I'm glad I'm going to the pool to lay out and swim!**

**My grandpa has been in a rehab center for an issue with his back and so my grandma has been by herself at my aunt and uncles house. So Monday I picked her up for dinner and we hung out for awhile and then went and visited my grandpa before I took her home for the evening. While visiting my grandpa he was talking about from 1928 (when he was born) until 1939 he said on their farm they didn't even have electricity. And so in the summers they didn't have fans or air conditioning. I'm so glad I never had to deal with that! But it was nice to listen to hLinkim talk about his childhood!**

Ok. That's enough for today. Go check out Stacy and see all the other rebel randomers! And if you're somewhere that it's going to get as hot as it is here I hope your air conditioner is working!

RTT: Holiday weekend recap

Whew with the holiday it threw off my day for random! But here I am but just a little bit later in the day!

Our 4th weekend was really nice. I had to work Saturday but got Sunday and Monday off so that was nice. A 2-day weekend when I had to work Saturday. Woot woot! The in-laws came into town so Saturday after work we headed to see and eat dinner with them.

Sunday was spent with my family. In the morning Leo and I went over to my parents and laid out by the pool and played in the sandbox (I’m sure you know which one did which!) for a few hours. It was nice and I got some color. It was pretty red Sunday evening but by today it has gone to a nice shade of brown! Ahhhh summer-time color! And then Sunday evening we went to my grandma’s 80th birthday party. It was a nice time and we got to see some extended family.

And then on Monday we headed back to the in-laws to spend the 4th. I got a little antsy just sitting around watching TV all afternoon so I hit up Babies-R-Us and picked up a new stroller/car-seat combo on uber-discount so I was pretty stoked about that. Then we grilled out and watched fireworks. It was a pretty nice weekend.

There is a Dairy Queen right across the street from our bank branch and they started serving Orange Julius drinks. If you’ve never had a strawberry Julius you are just plain missing out. But I decided that I wanted that for lunch so I went over there today. I was a little disappointed in it though because it didn’t have enough ice in it so it was pretty liquidy. But it was still pretty tasty!

I’ve had an ear ache in both ears since last Thursday and I think I need to go to the doctor. I don’t get ear infections so this has been very weird. It’s not a pain all the time but when I yawn or swallow or something random like that my ears pop and then hurt. But I work a crazy schedule this week so it will be an off-doctor who will see me. Or I can wait until Thursday when I go to my baby-doctor but I didn’t know if that was the right protocol to ask her to randomly look in my ears. Who knows…I just don’t want to pay an additional co-pay if I didn’t have to!

Only 4 more months until baby time! Eeeeee! It’s getting down to crunch time. Ok …not really crunch time but there is a lot of stuff that still needs to be done to get ready.

I guess I’m short on random this week so this is all I have. Don’t forget to visit Stacy to see more random!

RTT: Seriously June--you're over already

I know June is not technically over yet but it's already the 21st. That is nuts! And Stacy is still holding down the random fort so at least we have somewhere to gather for our weekly Tuesday musings.

I went to Wal-Mart on Sunday (I know...what was I thinking) and I thought that it would not be very crowded because it was during church hours but boy was I wrong. That place was hopping. But the thing of it was I kept (literally) bumping in to the same people the whole time Leo and I were shopping. It was very random. But I got my weekly grocery shopping done and I even picked up a few little outfits for the bebe and some pajamas for Leo. And that's why I go to Wal-Mart.

I had been doing bi-weekly grocery shopping because we get paid every two weeks and I wanted to make sure we had enough groceries to last for that two week period but I have found that it is very difficult to know what I am going to be in the mood to eat almost 2 weeks out. We did really well there for awhile but then I fell off the cooking bandwagon. So I made a weekly menu and only 3 bigger meals and then leftovers and smaller meals (think bean and cheese nachos) on the other nights. And I'm ok with that.

Also, being pregnant has really thrown and wrench in my meal planning because half the time I'm not hungry at all and just want something to nibble on but know I need to feed my family and the other nights I'm all...GIVE ME FOOD. And of course those are the nights I get off the latest and don't want to have worked all day and then come home and make huge meals for me to be the only one into. But it's whatever.

And final thing about food...you know when I said I got a really simple recipe for a chicken and rice dinner? Well I wasn't kidding about the easy. I pre-made the chicken and soup-y base before I went to work on Saturday and then set out the exact amount of rice that needed to be put in before it baked (I wasn't sure what would happen to the rice if it sat in the soup mixture all day in the fridge) and had him toss it in the oven an hour before I got home from work. And it turned out AMAZING. And everyone liked it. So double bonus!

My sister-in-law and I are having a garage sale this Thursday-Saturday at their house and I am so excited about it. I know that sounds really strange but I think it will be fun! And I don't have a ton of stuff to sell but hopefully I'll make between $100 and $150. I think I have enough to make that. But even if I only make a little bit it will be nice to be off work for a few days and hang out and chat with her and my brother during the sale!

Leo is getting so freaking big! My mom and I took him for his first "long" bike ride while my dad and hubby went golfing for Father's Day. We went over to a local store that was right by a very large sidewalk and we walked and he rode his bike for almost 30 minutes. I was pretty impressed. The only thing we need to teach him (and he needs to listen to us about) is not putting his feet on the ground to brake. Not only is he going to tear up his *brand new* shoes but he could hurt his legs if the pedals rub against them. Oh well. I guess he'll just have to wear his old shoes from now on.

I don't remember if I've blogged about this but I have joined a bowling league. I'm on it with my cousin, my mom and one of my mom's friend. Since my dad has recently started working at the bowling alley *cough, cushy retirement job, cough* they had a Sunday night bowling league that needed another team so we joined. It has been so much fun! I'm not great but we have a lot of fun. I think my average is around 110. Oh well. Hopefully I'll get better as the season progresses!

I'm getting kind of annoyed by mother nature. Anytime that I have free time and I am planning on going swimming at my parents house it rains that day or the day before. I'm a very baby-ish swimmer and want my water to feel like bathwater so if it's not 85-90 degrees I'm not to keen on swimming. My mom said the water has been nice after you've been exercising or working in the yard but that's not what I'll have been doing. I'm ridiculous about it i know but I have only swam only 1 time this whole June. Booo!

Enough random from me! Don't forget to visit Stacy and the other randomers.

RTT: The Rebel Continues

Another Tuesday another Random. I'm still following Stacy and her sign while we wait for Keely to come back. But after this long I'm kinda wondering if Stacy is going to be our new fearless leader. But don't tell her!

------------------
I attended my first yoga class last night. I have done a few yoga tapes and done some on the Wii but never taken an actual class. It was interesting to say the least. I don't know if I did everything correctly and I definitely was not sweating when I left but I did feel pretty stretched out. I guess that's what is supposed to happen. Who knows.
-----------------
I've heard a few commercials lately with Alec Baldwin in them. What's up with that? I'm not sure I understand his reasoning to do commercials. One was a radio commercial for Bonefish Grill and the other was a series of commercials for I think Capital One credit cards. It's just really odd. He's hilarious on 30 Rock and I guess when I see actors doing commercials not for a cause just makes me think they need money. And maybe that's the case. But if that were I would think that Baldwin wouldn't be quitting 30 Rock. Oh well. I guess if it was me making the money for a 30 second commercial spot then I probably wouldn't be judging other for making commercials!
----------------
We cleaned up our living room this weekend and I went through Leo's toys to get them ready for the garage sale we are having next weekend. And even though I only cleared out a laundry basket full it feels like a lot more is gone. And it makes our living room look a lot less full.
----------------
I have not felt like cooking lately. But I have been wanting chicken and rice so I got a new recipe from a co-worker and I'm looking forward to making it on Thursday.
----------------
I'm drawing a blank on where to go from here (as I have been lately when it comes to blogging) so I'm going to end right now. But don't forget to visit Stacy and the other randomers and enjoy your Tuesday!

RTT: Birthday week and Toddler Tantrums

Another week of rebel randoming courtesy of Stacy!

It's my birthday week. Especially since my birthday was on a Sunday I feel like I get the whole week for my birthday. I think that's fair. Most of the time the weeks (or even days) are not about me so I'm dubbing this Kendra's birthday week. And even when I typed this I had trumpets in my head blaring da-da-da-duh. Apparently I think very highly of my week!
----------------------------
And like I said yesterday I got a Kindle for my birthday. While this probably wouldn't have been atop my birthday list it's still a pretty awesome gift and I'm very thankful to have gotten one. The whole thing that I have a problem wrapping my head around is that I normally check out books from the library. For free. So I will have to ration myself to only 1 book per month unless there is a super-awesome deal for a free or extraordinarily cheap book.
---------------------------
Do any of you have 3 or 4 year old toddlers? If not...do you want one? He's usually a very sweet boy but sometimes, whoo-ee. He can get pretty mouthy and full of attitude. I'm not sure if we're just on the downhill of the toddler roller coaster or what but goodness. Leo has been rotten. And mainly just for me. He will pretty well listen to his dad but there are even sometimes when he won't listen to him either. And so it has been a rough few weeks. And because my stupid pregnancy hormones are ruling my roost we have been fighting like cats and dogs. And I'm done with it. I'm done with my bad attitude and I'm done with his. So if you wnt a small child (or once had one) who has gone through something similar let me know what you did to remedy the situation!
--------------------------
I made sloppy joes for dinner tonight and they were delicious. I think that sloppy joes may be one of my favorite meals. And it's so simple. I think if I were to make a list of my favorite meals they would be in this order:
1) Grilled BBQ chicken with corn on the cob and baked potatoes
2) Breakfast for dinner including: french toast, bacon and eggs
3) Sloppy joes
Mmmmm. Now I'm hungry just thinking about all that food!
-------------------------
I bought a bikini and I am so excited to rock it. And by rock it I mean wear it only in the company of my immediate family or a few stray family members that won't judge! I needed a new swimsuit anyways and I usually only swim at my parents pool in their backyard so I thought why not. Along with the fact that I wouldn't know the first thing about buying a 1-piece suit for a pregnant belly. And they were on sale super cheap at Old Navy. Gosh I love that store!
------------------------
Leo has been into Star Wars lately and I feel so out of the loop. I've seen them all and know who most of the main characters are but I'm not an afficionado. So when he asks me who such and such is or when I make the mistake of calling a storm trooper a droid I am just looked at with a look that says, oh silly mom. You know nothing. And he's right. I don't. And I'm ok with that. But maybe I should watch them again.
-------------------------
I was looking at a photo gallery of Johnny Depp today and it had pictures of him from his movies and it made me want to have a Johnny Depp marathon. Not only is he extremely good looking (he's #1 on my list, just FYI) but his movies are so good. So the next time I have a few days off with nothing to do then I am so having one. So in other words, once I'm on maternity leave I am so having one!
------------------------

Ok. That's all I have for today. Don't forget to visit Stacy to see the other random.

RTT: A vacation in pictures

Hooray! It's Tuesday. We just got back from vacation so I only have to go to work for 4 days. But that's ok. It's gonna be a great week. I just have a good feeling! Stacy is still holding the random sign. So we are going to follow her and random. But because I'm lacking in sleep and patience then it will be mainly a picture random!

The hubby and Leo at Science City. They were having a great time in the "fire truck."

Leo digging up dinosaurs at Science City

The family at the Royals game. All the above 3 pictures are from the game.

My cousin Grace at her dance recital. She was so cute in her little costume! (she was a little sad the recital was over!)

Leo chilling in the hotel watching Scooby Doo!

On the way to Kansas City. Leo cheesing it up with his go-to road trip food (Twizzlers)

RTT: Nails, Haircuts and Taco Bell

Would you look at that? It’s Tuesday again. Which means Stacy is still the queen of random while Keely is still on hiatus. I just hope she is having as much fun as Charlie Sheen did while on hiatus from Two and a Half Men. Without all the drugs though. And the crazy tour of crazy. Unless that’s how she’s rolling these days. To which I say go get it! Anyways…that intro was as random as the rest of this post is going to be so get used to it!

I have been wanting a frozen pizza for the past week but it just hasn’t fit into my eating plans. But last night I had to close so the boys ate leftovers from the weekend and so when I got off work I called the hubby and asked him to pop one in the oven. And when I got home I had a delicious pizza waiting for me. And I devoured it.

I have also been wanting Taco Bell. And while some of you may think that these are crazy pregnancy-related cravings but let me tell you…they’re not. These are things that I want all the time. I think I’m just feeling them more. There is a girl that is pregnant who works with my hubby. And he says that every day at the same time she has to have popcorn. I’m not like that. Just wanting some good food that no one in my family wants to eat with me. So I never get them when I want them.

I have always been a nail-biter. But within the last year I have forced myself not to bite them anymore. I’m not sure why but I was able to overcome the bad habit. And even though I regress sometimes I have had longer, nicer looking nails. But then came a real shock. I have to trim them. I have never in my life had to cut my finger nails. I never had enough nail to cut. So while I was trying to figure out how to do this without ruining my nail on Sunday my hubby just looked at me and laughed. And thought I was a moron. He didn’t say it but I could see it in his eyes. He also told me he wouldn’t do it for me. (Let me assure you I didn’t ask him to…he just said it)

And speaking of grooming ourselves I have a haircut tomorrow! I’m so excited. I was thinking that it had been since last October since I have had a haircut but I remember having to cancel that appointment and so really I haven’t had my haircut in almost a year. Not even a trim. Luckily I have nice hair that doesn’t get crazy split-ends but it is definitely in need of some TLC. So looking forward to it. Pictures will be coming!

We have to renew the tags for hubby’s vehicle. And we didn’t get a renewal notice. So instead of getting to just do it online I have to go to the tag office. And bring a ton of information. So obnoxious. That will be what I’m doing tomorrow around 8am when they first open. Because I don’t want to be there FOREVER.

It’s almost summer time here in Kansas (well at least summer break time) and you can definitely tell. Working in the public on the warm days we see some things that are not suitable for children. The things people wear are ridiculous. Let me just say this…ladies…it is not appropriate to wear just your bathing suit bikini top and shorts into a place of business. It is also not appropriate to be wearing tank tops without bras if you are large chested. I don’t want to see your maracas shaking. And booty shorts?! Just please don’t. If I can see your undies peeking out the bottom they are too short. Actually…if I can see dimples in your thighs you shouldn’t be wearing them. End of story.

But at least because it is summer schedule time I am back to only closing one night a week at work (which is until 8p). That is such a relief. Doing that twice a week was really getting to me. Not only did I have to work until 8 but that is when Leo is *supposed* to be going to bed and so if I saw him I was coming home and putting him directly to bed. And that sucks. So it will be nice to have to only do that once a week again. And since I’m not closing on Tuesdays anymore that means I get to go back to eating dinner at my parents house on Tuesdays with the family. So excited for that!

And finally...I can't stand Lady Gaga. Ok. I've said it. I don't know what it is about her but she gets on my last nerve. We get it...you're edgy. But really...you're not. You're just like all the other edgy artists out there. You need to put some pants on (along with Ke$ha, Beyonce, Rhianna, Madonna etc.). Thank you.

There’s more to say but I feel like you’ve had enough. So have an awesome random Tuesday and go see Stacy and all the other rebel randomers!

RTT: Better late than never

I’ve been so bad about blogging lately but it always seems like I have a lot of random swimming around in my head so here goes with another edition of Random Tuesday Thoughts brought to you by our rebellious leader Stacy! Keely is still on hiatus but you can swing by and say congrats on the new job and take the reigns back over to give Stacy a break!

Now let’s get down to some random.

I am back to work after a surprise 3-day weekend. I was off Saturday and Sunday but then I got super-duper sick Sunday. So I got a free day. Which wasn’t really free because I definitely slept all day and did nothing but lay in bed and moan about how much I hate being sick. I don’t know if it was a stomach virus or food poisoning but let me tell you…I could have used another day off just to recuperate because honestly I’m not feeling 100% today. Luckily (or unluckily because I work Saturday) I am off tomorrow so I get another day to try to get it all back together. And I will NOT be using this day to get stuff done around the house or working out. Just to rest.

Saturday was very lovely even though my Sunday sucked. I got up early to get Leo out the door to go to breakfast with grandpa before they headed out to the annual fishing derby for the church. *Sidebar—for those of you that do not know what a fishing derby is (like my boss and my hubby) it is a competition for fishing.* So…I met up with them around 10 to see how the fishing was going and after my mom showed up Leo caught 3 fish. And by caught I mean he helped reel in 3 fish. He was so excited. He even won a prize. It was a fishing pole (which he already had) so my dad is rigging up a tackle box and putting 5 gold dollar coins inside. He’ll be so excited. After fishing I took Leo to his final day of bowling for the season and he did really well. And then I went to a baby shower for my cousin who is due in June. All in all it was a pretty nice day.

I bought a Groupon to Tanganyika Wildlife Park that is in a local town and I am pretty stoked to use it. We have to use it by May 22 and I’m going with my mom. We just have to wait for the weather to get nicer.

And by nicer I mean not 100 degrees in May. Seriously mother nature…what are you trying to pull?! I have already had to turn my air conditioner on! So stupid!

I am a horrible landscaper/gardner. Which is surprising since my dad worked for a lawncare company for 20+ years but I guess his expertise did not rub off on me. Sooo I’ve been looking at our yard a lot lately and wondering what to do. And I just think, there’s too much to do. So I let it sit in disarray for another year. Well I think this is the year that I am finally done just letting it be. I think I am going to do something about it. So happy thoughts of I think I can, I think I can.

Ok. That’s all for today. Come back tomorrow because I have more to blog about. I swear it. I won’t wait almost 2 weeks between posting again. Please come back. I’ll do better I promise! Ahem. I am off my knees now. Nothing to see here folks move along and have a good rest of your Tuesday!

RTT: Too much Easter candy has made me random

Happy rainy Tuesday! We have had rain since yesterday morning and I am thankful the rain held out so we could enjoy all of our Easter festivities in the rain-free weather!

Speaking of rain-free I can't wait for it to grill! I know I say this every week but I'm still waiting for it. And do you know what makes me want to grill even more (and buy a Weber grill...)? This commercial.

Such awesome marketing! And I should know...because I totaLinklly majored in marketing. Or so says the $25k in student loans I'm repaying!

I have officially watched too many Law and Order episodes. I was at the gym on Friday and I had seen the episode they were playing. And there was nothing else to watch at 3pm on a Friday. Luckily I had not seen the episode that was playing today. And good news is that I should get to work out at least 2 more days this week. Woo hoo!

Thanks for all the well wishes about the baby! We're super excited and we'll take all the, well this time it's definitely a girl talk. Well at least I will. The hubby keeps saying he doesn't care either way. Because he's a saint!

I hate when a friend is upset with you for a silly reason. Here's the scenario...there is a candle party that another friend has invited us to. The one friend (who is mad at me) just threw a baby shower for one of her friends and hardly anyone came. It was a 2nd shower so that may have been a factor in why people didn't come. So...she was upset that people didn't come and thought they weren't very good friends. So I played devil's advocate and basically used her reason for maybe not going as to why the people didn't come to the shower she threw. Then she got mad and said I was attacking her. Even though I told her I didn't care one way or the other if she went and I had forgotten about the party until she reminded me. I also had told her last week that she over-extends herself by trying to help people anyways. But now I feel bad. I apologized via text (because I was working out) and haven't gotten a response back. So I feel bad and won't see her until Thursday. So hot cheese...I think it's ridiculous that she's mad but I also feel bad. And so are the days of my life.

The Easter Bunny brought me the new Harry Potter and I am so excited! After I make a delicious dinner of spaghetti maybe we can watch it. So excited!

And because Keely is still out (as of last week since I'm setting this to post on Monday night) we are still riding on the back of Stacy and you should too! Happy Random Tuesday!

RTT: More Rebel Randoming

Link
Another random Tuesday without the queen of random but we will have to forge on without her. Because that’s all I got folks. Just some random to pass my time! And apparently so does Stacy because she has kept up the craziness while Keely has been playing in the snow (apparently no one told her it’s April!).

  • Prom has been happening around our town recently and I had the pleasure of seeing some of the young ladies (I’m using that term loosely and you might to if you had seen some of the dresses they were wearing!) in the grocery store where I work as a banker getting their boutonnieres for the big day. It makes me remember the whimsical feeling I never had when going to prom. Haha! I had fun at prom but it was definitely all unicorns and rainbows the movies make it out to be!
  • There have been some small children running by our bank branch and just demanding balloons. It is driving me crazy. And their parents don’t even say anything. Some today just ran by and were like can we have balloons? I made them say please and thank you because their mom wasn’t around. It just grated my nerves. I also saw a parent let their at least 4 year old cough in her face. If Leo does not cover his mouth when he sneezes or coughs I tell him to. And I definitely don’t let him cough in my face. That is gross. And if the parents of children are not going to do it I can only imagine the treat I will be in when Leo starts kindergarten. I’m sure I will be disgusted by the little hoodlums running around. And it’s not surprising all the statistics of kids being out sick from school. It’s no wonder if parents aren’t teaching their children proper hygiene.
  • I saw one of my co-workers eating a Butterfinger today and I decided that it looked good enough to get one for myself. BIG MISTAKE. Apparently my brain forgets that I am not a big chocolate/candy person. And that even though it looked delicious I did not need it. It did not hit the spot. Ah well.
  • If you follow me on Twitter you probably saw my tweet yesterday about my sweet hubby. He is now not working weekends (lucky ducky) and Leo got to go to a farm with grandpa on Saturday while I had to work so I walked out the door yesterday telling him he could clean the kitchen or the bathroom. I was chuckling at my own joke but when I got home the joke was on me. The house had been cleaned. Well everything but the bathroom but I can’t complain too much! And then on Sunday while Leo and I were at the Renaissance Fair he mowed the grass and picked up the yard. What a good hubby. But I’m just waiting to see what his ulterior motives are! Maybe he is just exponentially less stressed at his new job that this will become the new normal.
  • Monday was a super slow day at work (which is where I’m typing this…or am I?!) And I even volunteered to stay until 8 because the supervisor who was closing was sick. So I am working a 7:30a-8p shift on what I think is the slowest day EVER. But it gives me time to do this (or does it?!) and make my list of what I’m going to get to help the Easter Bunny prepare baskets Saturday night. My sweet Leo will get an Easter cartoon (probably Dora), and Easter book and then maybe a DS game. And then probably a few Easter eggs filled with some gum or jelly beans. But not much. Because that kid will devour candy if I let him. And I don’t want him to. The hubby’s basket will have some Starburst and then How I Met Your Mother season 5 because it’s on sale at Target and then my basket will be filled with the new Harry Potter movie. So excited! I don’t know if I can wait until Sunday to re-watch it!
  • I hate to admit it but I want to see Scream 4. And Fast Five. And the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie. And of course the final chapter in the Harry Potter book. Holy cow…not that I’ll see all these in theater (probably just Pirates and Harry Potter) but there are a lot of summer movies I am ready to spend my money on! Alright. It’s time for you to move along.
Don’t forget to go visit the other rebel randomers. We won’t stop until Keely comes back to play!

RTT

Yay! It's another Rebel Random Tuesday brought to us by the lovely Stacy since Keely is still on hiatus. I'm off today and have nothing better to do since I'm waiting for the Westar man to get here between noon and 4 and I figured I'd throw down some random for you all!

  • And yes...you did read that correctly. They are supposed to be here between noon and 4. So ridiculous. But I am having them install one of their fancy thermostats that they can hack into at any time but are supposedly only going to when the need for cold air is in the highest demand and give it to others and hopefully keep my electric bill down this summer. We'll see how it works.
  • And yes you also read that part correctly. I am off today. Woo hoo! I have even been very productive (but not productive enough!). I took Leo to school, went to the gym and cleaned up the kitchen, living room and dining room. Woot woot!
  • There are a lot of books that I would like to read. I am about to finish up the Bones series. I think I have 2 books left in that series. But I wasn't able to go to the library before we took our jaunt to western Kansas last weekend so I read a book that the hubby bought towards the end of the year last year. It's called I'm Not High by Jim Breur. The goatboy from Saturday Night Live. It was so funny and a very easy read so that was nice. I also want to read the books The Help and Water for Elephants. They are both books that are being made into movies and I saw that and was like, Oh yeah. I want to read those! So they are on my to-read list! And then of course because I finished the other book I was reading and still didn't have time to go to the library I started to re-read the Hunger Games. And I was barely into it and started crying. It is such an emotionally draining series. I cried the first time I read it and I will probably cry the 50th time I read it!
  • At the gym I have noticed a trend that I don't think should be happening. And if you are someone that does this I'm sorry I'm saying it but...people should not, I repeat NOT wear jeans to work out in. Ok, not that they shouldn't but I just think it would be so restrictive and uncomfortable. I don't even like to wear shirts with long sleeves because I feel like they get in my way so I don't even want to imagine what jeans would feel like. I just know that when I sweat in jeans they get really clingy and that is just not what I want to be feeling while working out.
  • And speaking of working out I have put some of my music onto my iphone and have been using that to workout by. And that brings me to my main problem. I don't have good workout music. So any suggestions on good tunes to work out to?
  • The weather has been so nice lately but the wind has been killer. And because of that last point we have not been able to grill yet. I am just looking forward to our first grill-out of the spring. Bring it on!
Ok. That's all I have now. I'm going to go eat my mac and cheese for lunch. And keep waiting for Westar. Keep your fingers crossed they get here closer to now (2pm) than 4.
